Hello friends!
As you can see MassageTrack.com is now DeepRecovery.com – why the change? As we grow, we’ll be adding tools and products that are not ‘track’ related. One product in particular that I’ve been tinkering with for a year or two is more geared for athletes than our existing line.
The search for a new name included lots of names with the word ‘massage’ but in the end, they all felt a little bit too restrictive. What I’m really passionate about is healing and recovery. So I also looked at names with the word ‘healing’ but in the end opted for ‘recovery’ because healing seems to target people with injuries which ends up excluding athletes interested in faster and deeper workout recovery.
As for the word ‘deep’, it comes from my own experience recovering from a long-standing chronic illness. I found countless ways to prop myself up temporarily or superficially and of course that’s what most MDs specialize in – the band-aid approach.
What really fires me up is deep and sustainable recovery. And of course the word ‘deep’ relates to ‘deep tissue massage’ as well.
So that’s how the two words, ‘deep’ and ‘recovery’, came together. Changing a brand and website design is a very involved project so it has been months in the making. Here’s hoping for a smooth transition!
Wishing you Deep Recovery™ when you need it,
-Eric
